Harry Epstein Winemaker
For over 60 years, Harry Epstein created special wines and liqueurs in Canada. Throughout that time, many people celebrated special occasions with Harry Epstein’s famous wines.
On January 13, 2019, Harry celebrated his 100th birthday. Thirty three days later, he passed away.
We are continuing his tradition of making fine wines for special occasions. The first vintage of Israeli Carmichael Wine became available in 2020 and we continue to expand the winery with more wines. All Carmichael wines are made using Harry’s original Italian wine press, bottling equipment and even his hydrometers.

About Our Wines
In order to make sure our Carmichael wine stands out as a special and unique wine, we select ripe grapes that are harvested at their peak of sugar content. We then crush them and let them infuse their deep red color and tannins to the juice. The primary fermentation is not rushed and the sugar content is monitored carefully in order ensure that the wine maintains its flavor, while increasing the alcohol content. Our aging process is a slow one and takes anywhere from twelve months to two years to complete. The wine is now being made in Ashkelon. Ashkelon has a long tradition of winemaking and their wines were exported to many locations in the ancient world. Read more about Ashkelon at Ashkelon123.com.
Artisanal Wines
Our wines are made in small batches and all steps are performed by hand, enabling us to control the process and deliver truly unique results. Because we are not an automated winery, we can control the winemaking on a micro level and produce wines that are unique and suited to storage.
